As we begin 2018, we bid a fond farewell to Dior who is hanging up his toolbelt to go and kick a football around for Port Vale.
Dior started with us in October 2016 after completing his City and Guilds 2365 Level 2 and Level 3 at Warwickshire College. Despite his enthusiasm for the wonderful world of electrical installation, Dior has kept a footballing career on the go, starting at Solihull Moors, loan spells at Leamington and Banbury and playing for Kidderminster Harriers.
Since then he has played for Worcester City, Daventry and Stratford before joining Redditch in 2017. Over the Christmas and New Year however, Big D got his big break when offered a place at Port Vale.
While we will be smo* about losing his sunny disposition and occasional team purchase of Sainsbury's cookies, we won't miss the time it takes him to brew himself up an English Breakfast cuppa or his complaints when we tune the DAB into Radio 6 instead of 1Xtra.
